TomG, LMAO on the gray, I told my boss I wont run it green;) Gettin close to paint time, tough to find time to work on it each day. I think it was made in the late 50s early 60s, but that is just a guess. That is about the time period they set up the shop that it came out of.
The spring is flat, about 1/2" 5/8" wide, small hole in one end for a retaining pin, then a "keyhole" type hole in the other end for a larger retaining pin. I may go that route as well. For now I just want to get it done and into service. Then Ill mess with the spring. We are limited as to what vendors we can buy from so that makes it tough sometimes lol...... I will think of something, not a real big deal.
