The batteries came in.
While searching online for a user manual for the 722 (you would think two buttons couldnt be that tough to figure out but my friends fowler gives me fits too) i came across a pretty simple solution to the battery drain. The photos are in Rich Carlstedt's post. Now i have a chance to use what i once thought were unusably small endmills.
If anybody has papers for this caliper or that might have better luck locating them let me know. Its actually a rather nice tool.
