This is the upper mount for one of the gas springs supporting the mill head. I started out making a mirror image of the one on the right side but when mocking it up the z-axis motor mount was hitting the spring body. I ended up cutting the mount up and welding it back together so the spring was offset enought to miss the mount. Some machining was un-needed but still a learning experience. The best part was I could use the newly installed DRO to do the hole and countersink layout with accuracy.
