The CCMT inserts are a smart choice Ed, as they can be used to turn and face (without having to change tool position) in addition to boring. As they are an 80* included angle you can turn up to a 90* shoulder.
Additionally, there are tons of CCMT/CCGT inserts on eBay in a wide variety of grades and chip breaker combinations. If I'm not mistaken, they are one of the most common positive insert out there, meaning you can get some fantastic deals.
