Clausing 8520 restoration

Okay guys!!!
almost all the painting has been done and some small bits reassembled!!
I am not going to do the head yet as it seems to be in pretty good condition.
It will be a different colour and that might motivate me to get it done sooner...

I ordered new bearings for the hand cranked leadscrews and need to install them.
The old ones were a PIA to remove and required a bit of persuasion with Mr. Hammer.

What would be the best way to install the new bearings without damaging them?
