That's a lot of tricking machining, even with the casting. Not sure it's worth it with all of the receivers available on the market. In fact I think the CMP still sells bare receivers.

I wonder where he got the casting?

Receivers can be found at Numrich. I'm not sure where the OP found his in the tutorial.

OK, for $32 I just couldn't resist. I have a vintage NOS barrel that I got from the CMP last year that is looking for a good home.
