Can I or should I use a BXA tool holder for a 10 inch lathe?

As to "can I", that can only be answered by taking a few measurements of your lathe. Measure from the top of the compound where the QCTP will be mounted to the centerline of the lathe. That's the critical dimension that will tell you whether you can use a BXA. I'm guessing you won't be able to without some modifications to the QCTP holders but the measurement will tell you for sure. Aloris says for a lathe with a 10" swing you should use an AXA QCTP.
