Thanks Ed. I was doing good until I got to this bit:

Quote:Bolt hole circles can only be calculated in metric, not inches for some strange reason.

Not that it would be a problem on a lathe, but I have to wonder if there is anything on the lathe version that is metric only? Chin

Willie,

The guy that did the review bought his DRO 2 1/2 years ago so there's a good possibility that "feature" has been fixed. I would call the place and see if they have a current manual in PDF format that you could download. That's a hell of a good price and I'm tempted to get one for my mill.

Ed

EDIT: I emailed the place asking them if they fixed the bolt-hole circle feature and will let you know if/when they respond.

Here's the response I got back from who appears to be the owner of the company selling the DROs in question.

"will let you know tomorrow, my 2 years' dro had bolt circle function under inch mode, thanks
Tom"

Tom is probably the 'T' in TPAC TOOLS.

And his response today is:

"mfg is off this weekend, so will back to you early next week, thanks
'Tom
"

I replied asking him if the information was not in the manual. So far, he has not responded.
