I've never seen the really small ones you have that look like they're brass. Where'd you get 'em and how small do they go?
The poor lighting in my picture makes the smallest sizes ("mini") look that way but they are actually nickle plated. But they probably are made from brass since they are non-magnetic. The larger sizes ("standard") seem to be chrome plated and they are definitely magnetic. I'm pretty sure I bought all of them from Amazon. Here are the sizes in the "mini" sets:

I have those too, and right, they are a pain to use on anything but loose fasteners.
I like the box and may have to steal that idea. But now that I see there are smaller sizes too...I'll have to buy those first.
A good tight fit in the bores and your less likely to spill them all over the place when you open it.

I can post the stl file if you'd like to 3d print the box.

Thanx Ed...is that box less than 8.5" wide? if not I would have to reconfigure it anyway to fit my printer bed. that's not a bad thing since I love the CAD part of designing.

I can tell you that bore sizes on the box I got from Ed are spot on. I only had one gage out of the bunch that didn't slide all the way down into the hole. And that was due to a
very small burr sticking out from from the cross hole that is drilled through the gage for the wire cable to hold them. Some gentle strokes with a needle file to remove the burr (.001" - .002") and the gage slid right in. That's how close they fit.
One thing I will mention is that the SAE and Metric labels should be reversed. But that is my fault that I didn't catch it earlier. When I sent the hole sizes I needed to Ed, I obviously marked the groups incorrectly.
But I printed some new stick on vinyl labels to put over them and all is good.

Wouldn't have expected any less from Master Ed (not Mr Ed

Sorry, it's 9" x 3.375". I also had to reconfigure it after I realized I drew it up in CAD too wide to fit my printer bed.
