Spent a few hours making this...………..
1/2" UNF, to suit .177/.22/.25 calibre.
Getting the hang of this lathe lark!
oh, yeah, it's pretty bloody quiet as well!
Cheers.

Looks like Roy has been into his wife's hair curler stash.
I'm wondering what material was used to make the other parts. Shiny!

Yep, hair curlers for the baffles(it's good enough for Weihrauch!), craft felt for the sound dampening, and it's made from aluminium bar and tube from ebay, grade 6063-T6/6082-T6 dunno which one though?
Polished to death with 'Autosol' metal polish.
Cheers.
Roy.

Thanks Roy. I wasn't sure if it was aluminium (aluminum) or a piece of hard chrome rod from a hydraulic cylinder. That is quite a polish job you did there.

Anodised them myself as well...…..damn I'm learning stuff fast!
I also don't believe my chuck of choice is now a 4 jaw independent.
Cheers.
Roy.

You're definitely learning some good stuff.
