Have the landscaping finished. Funny how projects like this can take on a mind of their own and grow. What started out as digging for the footings went on to widening the drive, making a turn around spot and digging a pond.
The edge of the drive was about where the tractor is. The fill came out of the pond or was hauled in.
All the rock around the pond came from where we dug. The pond is about 10 feet deep, hit water at the bottom and its seeping in from the ash swamp at the back.
Now to pour some cement.

Poured the footings. Have a mixer that goes on the 3pt hitch of the tractor, takes a full bag of cement and 7 - 5 gallon pals of gravel. One pour per footing.
We've had a hot dry spell here, then the rains came. My pond turned into a lake.
Was out in the boat today and got drenched, saw the rain front coming across the lake and thought this isn't going to be pretty,

Actually thinking about building a windmill to aerate it and adding some mudpout (a type of catfish)

Started sawing the timbers for the car port. This white pine was at the limit of the tractor, had to take the forks off and lift it with chains back on the arms. Got two 6x10s, two 3x6s for the bracing, two 2x6s and a 1x10 from it. About 240 board feet of lumber.
Yesterday I moved them into the shop with Saddie's help.
Started cutting the joints when I got a call wondering if I could chamfer the bolt holes on a small rim. Reground a 1 5/8 bit to match the angle. First project that wouldn't fit on the table of the drill press.

Getting the joints done for the timber frame that will support the roof of the carport. The wood is fresh shall we say, have drained 6 tanks of water from the dehumidifier in the last 3 days.
