First chips made. The finish looks bad but it's actually very smooth. Obviously I need to go back and check the tram again since it's clearly off judging by the finish pattern.

Not much of a video but that's all the time I had to make it. It took longer to set up the lighting and camera than it did to record the video.

Congratulations Ed, must have felt good to make a cut with the machine. I just had a look back through this thread and it's 1 year and 9 days, plus 55 pages since the mill landed in your driveway. Not sure I could have been so patient with the installation.

I could be wrong but it doesn't look as if you are making that cutter work hard enough. What speed, feed and doc were you using? Ken will ask for insert grade and chip breaker, so you'd best include that as well. Oh, best tell us what the material was as well.

No CNC for me I'm afraid , I can't even program a VCR, and they are obsolete, lol. 

Considering the effort he's put in over this last year, I'm confident that Ed would find a greater satisfaction by applying his own skills to his future creations.
