I just find it ironic that a company that manufactures steel stamps can't stamp their own product properly. So much for "American pride". 
Maybe they are just trying to keep up with the competition in China. Stick a 6 year old kid in a dark corner with an angle grinder and tell him to have at it.... 
I'm not going to deal with complaining to them about it because it won't change anything anyway. I won't be doing any typesetting with them, I just want to be able to mark a few things here and there. I'm tired of my sharpie marks wearing off of my material stock, and then forgetting what alloy it is. 
Still it would be nice to be able to stamp a name on something and have it look decent too.
Many, many years ago I had a small set of cheap stamps that flattened out after 2 or 3 hits and I didn't want to repeat that mistake. So I told myself I would buy a "nice" set someday. <Sigh>
Bottom line is I just wanted to give my review on the "Young Brothers" brand stamp set.
No, I would NOT recommend to a friend.

Different coloured paint is what I use. Much cheaper than stamps

Should I ask if you will remember where you put the stamps when you need them?
A quick spray of colour on the rack or on the back of your door with the material written over the top should aid with your failing memory. If not, then I am afraid it is off the the Autumn centre for you where you can entrap kind-hearted people with stories that go absolutely nowhere but who are compelled to sit there and listen anyway

Even though ENCO has improved after being bought out (MSC?) I'm still leery of their products. Yes Travers carries its share of junk, but if you pay attention one can purchase good to excellent tools, etc.

+1. They are few and far between but they do have some really nice deals on good stuff on occasion.

Actually I'm with you on stamping the material. When I worked on nuclear propulsion systems both ends of the nuclear certified bar stock were stamped. Before the material was removed from the cut-off saw the remainder of the bar was restamped and the newly cut end of your material was stamped. One could literally trace the material all the way back to the mine.
If you had to cut multiple pieces the bar was restamped after each & every cut.

How would anyone know what they are buying, three sets all 1/16, two sets stored in plastic cases one in metal case. A general question, not in the market for stamps.

One set has 10 stamps, one set has 24 stamps and the third set has 34 stamps.
