Todays Project - What did you do today?
Top is 1/2" thick. Edges and slots are all square which helps when laying parts out.

Mike, what did you use to slice up the phone book so cleanly? Chin

Dunno what Mike used, but clamping a book between two pieces of wood will allow you to cleanly cut it with a band saw.

I just fed it through my vertical bandsaw.  If memory serves I think I was able to make about four sections so I should be covered for a long time.

I thought about that but it actually came out quite clean without needing any kind of "backer".

I tried that but they didn't come out even enough and my OCD kicked in. Big Grin

Gift wrapping tissue: .001"

Phone book paper with a drop of oil will keep your fingers out of there. Feed in until the paper moves, you'll be about .001" away. Or less... whoops. Smile
