Thumbs Up
Hello again,
first I would like to thank all of you who are trying to help here.
And then I also must apologize for not being quiet clear: I enclosed (pdf) the current arrangement the lathe has under the hood at the moment: 25 green is drive/power. 80 purple is idler. 100 red is final.
I would like to know what arrangement I should install in order to convert her to metric; I also got the following gears from the owner: 50T, 60T, 63T and 127T.
Also is it possible to get a metric chart for her?
Thanks – Michael.

have you checked this link to see if you could find a manual http://www.lathes.co.uk/harrison/index.html

could you wipe something on the data plates to fill in the lettering then wipe them off so that they might be easier to read.

G'day Michael, the good news is that your photos now show the detail of the charts! The bad news is that your charts don't show the arrangement of change gears necessary to cut metric threads. Interesting that the feed rates are charted in metric.
I'm sure someone out there will have figured out a protocol for metric threading with this lathe using the 127t gear. Perhaps a member here will have the expertise to get you going.

If the 127 is on the feed screw any even combo will give a metric.
However to get the indicated metric on the gear box the combo is
50 head
40 and 60 idler  I think it will will only fit one way round
127 feed screw.

I will follow up with photo of feed plates metric later
As for metric dial some Harrison,s had both on the dial mine does but it is ex College.
The actual screw remain imperial, however now and then metric feed screws come up on Ebay and are not hard to change.

Manual available I think it worth it as everything is in it.

That chart will be a big help Trev! My advise when cutting metric would be to leave the half nuts engaged all the time and return the tool by reversing the spindle. You won't be able to use the threading dial on an inch leadscrew.
