Acme & metric trapezoidal threads can be the trickiest to do because of the included angle being 1/2 that of a standard 60º thread.

When making them I find that there's a VERY fine line between "the gauge doesn't quite go though the nut" and "clink clink" looseness. Usually, that difference is nothing more than that last "spring pass."

I guess I'm not going to start on the nut holder today. I could have sworn I had the material I needed but alas, two sweeps through the shop looking for it turned up empty so I'll have to order some. Oh well, I can work on getting the mill back together so I can mill the nut holder and I also need to mill the scallops in the nut with the flange.
