A super-spacer is way up on my list of goodies to get. Very nice setup. The flycutter I mentioned, leaning up against the tailstock here on this 101 year old mill.

I have been looking for years for a little Mikron F75 mill to accompany my Mikron T90 lathe.
Those mills are quite rare and usually very high priced (at least above my limit).
A few weeks ago I found this little one on Ebay UK:
       

It looked desolate and grimy, but a lot of elbow grease gave me a reasonable result:
       

I still have to make a new motor mount, but it is looking a lot better than when I bought it.
There is a vertical head in the Mikron catalog, but since they went out of business in the sixties I doubt if I will find one in the near future.
I guess I will have to make my own.

That actually looks in pretty decent shape after you cleaned it up. Nice little horizontal mill.

That milling machine just blows me away!

I can't believe it's 100 years old yet has the capability of making helical cut gears. I'd kill for something like that!

I wanted a mill so I built my own.

Norman is far too modest in that brief statement above. He made a mill, yes, but he also made the entire thing from castings he made in the garden at home. Then he went on to make a rotary table for it. They were subject of a series of threads on Madmodder that were very interesting to follow:

1913 B&S #1-1/2 Universal with its vertical head attached. This might need some paint.

Now that you have a mill, it should be easier to build other things that you want. What is next?
