Great tool Ed, I just hope it doesn't eat batteries like my 293-705. I've taken to removing the battery after using the mike (or when I put the tools away, like whenever that happens )

I just got it yesterday. It sat out in the cold weather while I was at work so I brought the box in the house and let it sit in the sealed shipping box for a couple of hours so it would slowly come up to room temperature to prevent condensation. I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I got it based on the comments of members on the forum. My eyes aren't as good at they use to be so it'll be nice to use this new micrometer.

I bought mine from Amazon for $115. Not as good a deal as you got but not too bad, I think.

You did really well at that price Ed! Most of the big box tool vendors (MSC, ENCo, etc.) sell that tool for at least $15 more than that. Well done!

I guess I did do pretty good. Although I admit that I cheated a bit by using $15 worth of Amazon points to get the price down.
