I've a TNC355 - (It on a Beaver Partsmaster)
Everything works fine but I have one minor irritation. I have 'program 0' set as the Tool Table which is a standard option set by parameter - tool length offsets work out just fine, but there doesn't seem to be a display mode that will tell me where the tip of the tool is in 'Z' height while the program is running. You see a line of code about to be run saying go to Z= -3.0 for instance, but the 'Actual' display shows this plus tool length compensation so a meaningless figure as you watch a part being cut. Several times I've glanced at the position display and had a heart stopping moment thinking 'heck why's it there' then realised it's this display irritation. Of course it shows correctly for the 'standard tool' but as that a Heidenhain probe I don't do a lot of machining using that !
Am I missing something basic and fundamental here ?
