I sure do remember that Harrison M300 lathe Mike. We had great fun making the new cross slide screw and nut for it, and YOU had your hands full making that one GOOD lathe out of two junky ones.

couple of crap pics taken tonight in bad light [ my excuse ]
OK lathe first, It's a TOS 14 x 40 pretty standard machine about 12 / 14 years old from new but still deadly accurate. Next the mill. This is a Bligeport clone [ Chinese Bridgeport ] but one size up on a standard Bridgy. 10 x 54 hardened table and in built power to the knee, not an align unit. Box ways on the knee and all turcite slides. This is the one I want to fit the riser to but it stands 7'4" as it is to top of the motor so it's a big bugger. Had it about 3 weeks and not finished shaking it down yet but it is workable.

I knew it wouldn't be long before you had chips on it John, as your always fixing something there.
Once the riser is fitted you might need a set of swing away steps, LOL Fit a power draw bar (even a home made manual one) to save having to get up there. Dave |
