most on here know that the motor on my mill burned up, after some thinking and soul searching I think it may of got a taste of lightening awhile back when both myself and the guy across the fence got hit, he lost a bunch of stuff up front, the day it happened I lost the HDMI port on my TV (no big deal) and the video card in my computer (Minor deal)
But I know from working on industrial stuff (asphalt plants) that some things don't show up for a while.
Anyway I received a motor that fit my mill, same dimensions motors actually physically bigger but from looking at name plates half a horse smaller then the burned up one. It came with a problem, the shaft is half and inch longer which makes it bottom out in the socket before the motor sits flat on the mill head. Now I could just stick some hacked out spacers under it, or leave the pair of 3/4 inch Parallels under it that are residing there now, but where's the fun in that SO I got out in the back yard yesterday and whipped up a spacer ring that I poured out of Aluminum.
heres some photos.
