a bit of center - krv3000 - 11-09-2012 hi all well i was given a ruining center last week end from peter it had a slite problem as you will see in the pics i was also given sum time a go from peter a of center turning a tach meant that needed my loving touch sos no pics of that one bin sorted out so i used it to sort out the problem on the ruining center i think the mane reason that it got bent is that their is very Little metal left in the bottom of the center i dismantled the center and gave all the parts a good clean for when it gos back together the first thing i had to do was mack up a new taper for the ruining center sos for the quality of sum of the pics this will be screwed as well as bin silver soldered on to the bottom of the center right pics RE: a bit of center - sasquatch - 11-09-2012 Hey Bob, great repair,, nice creative mind you have!! DaveH RE: a bit of center - krv3000 - 11-10-2012 hi all thanks for the comments right i mist a bit out haw i set the of center i used a 2MT shaft that i have and a just-ed the of set so that the cutting tool ran the length of the shaft you will See in the pic once the 2MT was mad up i drilled m5 then taped m6 the i Bord out the center to mach the stub that i left on the body of the ruining center once all was well i fit ed the body to the 2MT with a m6 canter sunk screw with sum being lock on then gave it a cote of black pant right pics RE: a bit of center - sasquatch - 11-10-2012 Somewere back awhile ago on some site there was a project to build one of those tailstock off sets like Bob's, but i can't remember where i saw it!
