Boxford traveling steady - doubleboost - 10-11-2012 Hi Lads I have been buisy making a newZ axis screw for my mill I have had problems with the screw bending the deeper the threads are cut The traveling steady Boxford supplied is totally useless for the job intended It is just something to put in the cupboard with the rusty change wheels Before i scrap any more stainless round bar i will make a new steady It will be a bronze casting (aluminium is not strong enough and cast iron takes to much melting) On with the pictures Wood patern The Boxford item showing SLOTTED mounting holes It ends up in the middle of no where I hope to get it cast this week end John RE: Boxford traveling steady - EdK - 10-11-2012 Good luck John.
