Ken I'll take a couple of the CCGT 32.50 WN10 inserts if you have any left. Let me know how much!

OK Mike, you get the last two of them.

You pay what I paid, $2.25 each. About a buck to mail them, so you can PayPal me $5.50 and I'll get them out in a day or two.

Ken

P.S. - The insert designation is CCGT32.50.5-PF2 grade WXN15  .008" radius

Got in some threading inserts I bought off eBay to fit the Valenite Rigidex RD 05S 531 boring bar that I showed in Post #270. A pack of ten for $29.99 was a good price.

I also got the print for the boring head that I'll try making for it so I can use CCGT21.5x inserts. I can't post the print because it's proprietary, but suffice to say it will be one of the most technically difficult parts I've ever attempted in the home shop. It would be easy enough on a 5-axis machining center with some pre-machining and fixturing, so to tackle it with a tilting dividing head will be a test of my waning brain power. I fully anticipate two or three "nice try" screw-ups before a "usable" one is completed.

That's a great price on those inserts.

Here's what I got today. I took advantage of the recent 25% off promotion Enco was having to get a few needed items.

Starrett tap wrench, the larger one to go with my smaller one.
A 1/2" HSS end mill to replace the one I dulled trying to make the knurl holders.
Two 90 degree MA Ford chamferring tools.

I just love the Starrett No.93 A, B, C, and E T-Handle tap wrenches.

And my Starrett #174, #91 A, B, C, and D flat style too!

So which smaller one do you have, the A or a B?

RE: Latest UPS Delivery - EdK - 03-23-2015

Yup, after I got the small tap wrench I knew I'd have to get the larger one eventually. They are so nice to use.

They sure are. I got to use the 3rd one over from the left (91B) today for a 5/16-18 UNC thread in a temporary fixture for straightening runout on that pulley I'd had Jenn weld for me.

Today I got a small package with two items.

Item 1, six Ø 1/16" screw machine length parabolic flute Titex A1149TFL-1/16IN drills.

Item 2, a box of 10 Valenite TPGT21.51-PM2 (TPGT110204-PM2) in the now discontinued grade 5615 for steels. Being a ground profile, they'll work fine in aluminum. I have two boring bars that take these or TCMT21.5x inserts. You can put a TPxT insert in a pocket made for TCxT, but not the other way around. One 1/2" bar is definitely an A08-STFPR2 for the TPxT, the other I'm not sure yet.

Suffice to say the price was "cheaper than the shipping", and that was included in the "price."
