Good looking tools Ed. Where are they made? Any particular reason for the over/under sizes on the reamers, and it that a double-ended 90º spot drill?

Thanks Ken. All made in the USA. M.A. Ford countersinks/deburring tools and Yankee reamers. The reamers are for making the clamp knurling tool Tom is making the videos for. The double ended tool is a 90 degree deburring tool. I use a lot of #4, 6 and 8 machine screws in my projects so I needed a deburring tool for small holes.

Got some 1/32" (0.0312", 0.8mm) solid carbide 4-flute TiAlN coated end mills in today. I snagged them off of eBay for a total of $27.20, about the list price of one. I got FIVE.
You know with these small tools, Murphy's Law says if you have one, you will break it. If you have a spare, you won't need it. So...what's the word on five?

Today's UPS delivery:

It's a new Prototype (brand) "Paradur Eco Plus AEP2256302-UNC3/4" which means it's HSS-E (5% cobalt) PM (particle metal), THL (technical hard lube) coated 3/4-10UNC 2B spiral 4 flute semi-bottoming tap for steels, stainless steels, cast irons and non-ferrous metals. A very high-performance, long life tool that lists for a whopping $142.00US.
With an eBay "Buy It Now" price of $45 (with free shipping), I just couldn't resist.
I'm going to test it soon by drilling a Ø 21/32" x 1.25" deep hole in some 1018 steel and see if my Alliant milling machine has enough torque to power tap with it.

Damn!!, that looks spiffy! Now all you need is a job to use it on.
All I got today was (6) OSG #4-40, 2 flute spiral point taps and a 5" x 2" sine bar for $20, compared to you, I came up short.

Yes, it certainly is Ed, thank you.
I've got a couple of "pedestrian quality" Greenfield HSS spiral point taps in 3/4-10, but this is the first spiral flute one for blind holes. I have hand taps, but I haven't used one in years because they seem to break or at least chip so easily.
In smaller sizes, the common 10-24, 1/4-20 & 5/16-18 (and in UNF versions) I have some Greenfield high helix spiral flute taps, but I've seen those break easily too. Once you get your hands on a super high quality, high performance tap like these you learn the difference and they DO NOT break unless you're careless or a complete hack.

Man oh Man, there is something wrong with us! I looked at the closeup of the tap and admired the curves and edges and the geometry with a wistful feeling.
I remember getting that feeling looking at pictures in Playboy! Now I think I would move the Playboy aside to pickup the machine tool catalog.
