Need to place nut inside round tube - marlonkaye - 09-03-2023 Hi friends. Please watch this video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BObTOskDEd4 The video shows an insert nut that's specially made for that particular purpose -- inserting into steel tubes. I ran out of that insert nut and was wondering if anyone can help me improvise using an ordinary M6 nut. My round steel tube would be 3/4 or 7/8". I suppose the nut should be welded to something that would fit snugly inside the steel tube. Thank you for your time. Kaye RE: Need to place nut inside round tube - Dan Boy - 10-01-2023 Can you make a bung the same OD as the ID of the tube and just run an M6 tap through it? |
