Cold Bluing - EdK - 04-25-2023 Can you cold blue 12L14 steel? I don't know if the lead in it would prevent cold bluing. Ed RE: Cold Bluing - Highpower - 04-25-2023 Yes it's doable. Make sure your steel is thoroughly de-greased. I made a pair of cylinder head stands for doing valve jobs using some 12L14. I didn't get a dark black finish (more gray-ish) but it got the job done.
