RE: Oiling a lathe - Dr Stan - 09-17-2017 Way oil is too viscous for places such as the bushing supporting the lead screw/feed rod, QCGB, cross slide, compound, tail stock spindle and several other locations. While Scott is the "keeper of the keys" to the Logan legacy and he knows a lot, that's one statement with which I will disagree. I'd be like using SAE 120 gear oil in an engine. Just the wrong lube for the application. |
