Do Nylocks Walk? - johnyradio - 07-28-2017 Hi I've been advised that new Nylocks, never removed after installation, have a tendency to walk. Anyone out there experienced this? Thx! (posted on a couple other forums) RE: Do Nylocks Walk? - rleete - 08-02-2017 Only in extreme cases of vibration. And certainly if they are overused - meaning removed and reused more than twice. Yes, if you're fastening parts of a top fuel dragster, nylocs won't hold up. But for home applications, they work quite well. NEVER use Loctite with nylocks. Some types attack the locking element. |
