Fitting Belts to a S&B Sabel - johnobirches - 10-21-2016

Please can anybody tell me how to fit new belts to a Smart and Brown Sabel. The headstock is similar but not the same as a South Bend and I can't see the best way to get the back gear and main spindles out. It's my first lathe and I'm close to making my first cut. Thanks.

You might consider using a segmented belt, rather than disassembling the headstock.
