looking for a manual - loggerhogger - 02-02-2016

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but a friend of mine just bought a Jet 16, 12 speed mill drill, and he needs a manual for it. Anyone out there have a copy, or have one they can scan? Thanks!

Just type in the model number of the machine.

There's not much to them that needs a manual. All it needs is a belt/speed chart so you can set it to 480 RPM and leave it forever. It's a universal speed for everything.

There's a zerk on mine for the lower spindle bearing. I greased it once about 35 years ago. Seriously, these are no-brainer machines. Just use 'em. Darn handy to have.

On edit: Use his fingers to spread oil on the ways. "Way-lube" if he can find it. It's a messy job but the little ball oilers don't work. They just spit the oil back out.
