With all of those knobs, that must be an inverter welder. Jody has some really good basic TIG welding technique videos. One of the early learning curve challenges is figuring out how much voltage to use. He's got some good rules of thumb. RE: My new Tig setup - Shawn - 09-06-2015 Thanks guys, I have been watching Jody's videos plus a ton of others for years now. I'm excited to finally be able to weld aluminium and stainless. I'm going to really have to work at it though my stack of dimes look ain't quite there yet, looks more like loose change : ) I will order a tig finger asap, looks like a mandatory bit of kit. Your local welding supply/shop (LWS) has a similar thing which is a paper-back book-sized pad You hook a finger through it and it reflects a lot of the heat. Not as convenient, though.
