Toolpost DTI holder - aRM - 05-10-2015 Hi Guys With all the hype from them 'YT bloggers' about the NOGA Holders being the next best thing after the invention of the wheel literally, we almost gave up 'cos they do work out rather expensive for us to import, until we eyeballed this basically simple yet quite ingenious Holder for the Toolpost. Mind you, we had seen this on another thread as well and did not immediately grasp its real importance until "The Refurbishing Expert", Micktoon posted his version, which eventually drove the inspiration. He, good Fellow, did say that one could "fancy' it up a bit with one's own pimping which results we will let U Guys decide on ......... We know this is one tool we are going to use often and it is a super addition to assist on most our set ups. Thanks and all acknowledgements again to MICKTOON. Thanks for looking and maybe getting coaxed to do better. aRM RE: Toolpost DTI holder - DaveH - 05-15-2015 Very nice - nice bit of knurling DaveH RE: Toolpost DTI holder - aRM - 05-15-2015 (05-15-2015, 12:09 PM)DaveH Wrote: Very nice - nice bit of knurlingHello Dave Thanks for looking and commenting. I think Bob KRV3000 is the refurb expert mind . I am sure you will be glad youmade it and wonder what you did before you had it. Hey MICK First thanks to U Man It was Your endeavours that prompted the coaxing As for refurbing, Heck Man, U have done a splendid, if not superb finish on that Harrison. Just can't stop admiring your masterpiece - still going thru' all those postings We have an original, somewhat bastardised Chipmaster we got stuck with in a sting op and it needs a lot of attention like Headstock leaking oil, Variator sounds like a banshee, Clutch adjustment etc etc No body down here interested in any repair work and we too scared to open her up Maybe a VFD will rid the noise and be the better way to go. However, tackling the Headstock with all those complicating Gears, Man that's for pros like U. And that is another chapter. Take care aRM |
