Hi

I have recently been given some lathe tools

They need machining to fit my tool holders

The pictures are "grabbed" frames from a hd video

I was also given a 6 inch mag chuck

I had a back plate to modify

if the holders are big enough I just cut a dovetail in the side of them and put in a height adjuster screw

Nice work on the holders

Mighty small doc on stuff mounted on a mag chuck in a lathe please. Once it slides even slightly it's off balance and shortly after it's off the chuck.

I've only really felt happy using them on the cylindrical grinder where the cutting forces are very small - or should be !

Hi
Lads
Did a bit more with the chuck back plate
Made some "pointy studs" to transfer the hole pattern
[Image: GrabbedFrame14s_zpsa4c11b84.jpg]

A gentle tap with a soft hammer

YikesYikesYikesYikesYikesYikesYikes

The marks have been transferred with no maths at all SmileSmile

Lined up with the super accurate eye ball and pointy wiggler

The chuck will be used on the mill & rotary table
They have a B oxford spindle thread
I can picture things flying off the chuck
