Gas Saver System - EdK - 03-10-2014 Anyone have any experience with this device? Gas Saver System Ed RE: Gas Saver System - Highpower - 03-10-2014 No experience with it and never will have I'm afraid. First off it sounds like so much snake oil to me (JMHO), and secondly a single tank of gas (125 cu/ft) lasts me at least 10 years with the amount of welding I do at home. And the only time I've ever had a problem with insufficient gas coverage at the start of a MIG or TIG weld was when I forgot to open the valve on the tank. Forgetting to close the valve at the end of the day has probably wasted more shielding gas over the years than that system would have ever saved them anyway. RE: Gas Saver System - Mayhem - 03-10-2014 No experience with these either. My welders enable me to let a little gas out before welding by giving the trigger a gentle squeeze but I've never felt the need to do so. Like Willie said, turning the bottle off and ensuring you have no leaks is the best way to save gas. Just out of interest, what is it worth? RE: Gas Saver System - dallen - 03-10-2014 skunk oil, DA |
