Reclaimed a old drill bit - oldgoaly - 08-21-2013 Well need to drill a bunch of holes and some of my bit are dull as I am, I have a small General bit sharpener mounted with a small Sears grinder, it does ok but can not do larger or longer drills. So found a Lisle 91000 drill grinder. Well it's a little complicated! but "after" reading and re-reading the instructions I took a poorly sharpened very dull 1/2" drill bit as my test piece. wow did it need sharpening!!! but after it was resharpened it cuts like a new one! Better than I thought! [attachment=6109] [attachment=6110] It is a nice tool but is pain to set up at first. but when it's set does wonders! oh just take light cuts! needs coolant! but as slow as I am... The blank will be one of 4 metal spinning rollers, trying to get a bunch of things together to turn radii on the other lathe. RE: Reclaimed a old drill bit - doubleboost - 08-22-2013 That is a nice looking tool sharpener John RE: Reclaimed a old drill bit - sasquatch - 08-22-2013 Lisle always was a name for quality tools etc. Nice grinder, great find. |
