I Gauge DRO for the lathe - Brian - 08-10-2013 Just fitted a 12" gauge to my 7/12, as I have many mods on the lathe It was always going to be a challenge. but I think this is OK. [attachment=5923] [attachment=5924] [attachment=5925] Works just fine full 12" readout-- repeatability is perfect--out of the way. Brian. RE: I Gauge DRO for the lathe - f350ca - 08-11-2013 Nicely done Brian. That looks like the same scale I mounted on my shaper. RE: I Gauge DRO for the lathe - Highpower - 08-11-2013 Brian, how is the read head attached to the carriage? RE: I Gauge DRO for the lathe - Brian - 08-11-2013 It has a "T" attached to the bottom of the apron with the leg of the "T" going backwards thro the Legs of the bed, the space between rhe bed lags is 13" so a 1" wide "T"leg gets 12" movement You can just see the head of rhe "T" in the first Photo. Brian. RE: I Gauge DRO for the lathe - DaveH - 08-17-2013 Neat looking job Brian DaveH |
