Cutting Torch Kit - EdK - 02-16-2013

Is this a good deal on a basic cutting torch kit?

Looks good to me Ed. Smiley-gen163

Cyberweld sells an updated kit for $231 (shipping included) but it does not include a rosebud tip. They do however offer you a choice of fitting for the fuel regulator depending on what size tank you want to run.

A similar outfit from Harris sells for $210 but it too does not include the rosebud tip.

By the way, has anybody priced acetylene lately? Chin

The nice thing about it being Victor or Harris or Smith is that you will be able to easily get additional items that fit.

In my very humble opinion 12.5 feet of hose falls into the 'rather short' category. I prefer to leave the tanks and cart where they are and just drag the hose to where I need it with enough left over so I can work comfortably.

But that is easy to resolve by getting additional hose.

Obviously there will also be the cost of tanks ... either leased or purchased ... and the oxygen and acetylene that go in them.
