Enlarging Washer I.D. - mikecwik - 12-25-2012 Washers are like drill bits, taps and reamers....no matter how many you have youre eventually going to not have the right one. This one has a 1/2" O.D. so its not easy to get a hold of. Here is a pretty simple way to do it. RE: Enlarging Washer I.D. - sasquatch - 12-25-2012 Right, then drill the center out to size. ? A number of times i have drilled holes through pennies for small washers, works great. (only cost 1 cent each!! ) lol -- cheaper than driving to buy them!! RE: Enlarging Washer I.D. - pjf134 - 12-25-2012 Most of the time I use the Lathe to enlarge washer holes and can get odd size holes that way. Those big thick steel washers make nice woodruff keys in a bind too and always keep some on hand for that reason. Paul RE: Enlarging Washer I.D. - sasquatch - 12-26-2012 Agreed on the woodruff key!! Works great!! |
