V-Blocks - the penguin - 11-28-2012 Today during my quest for a left-hand "Q" drill bit, I found a set of 4" x 4" x 3" v-block for sale. The store had them on the selves for 25+ years, still wrapped in the cosmolene paper and a generous layer of cosmolene, in an old trusty wooden box. After he found in wasn't in the computer inventory , he looked through about 20 old catalogs, and found nothing, I was about ready to give up, when he finally said "make me an offer", I told him $30, he didn't hesitate, and rang it up. RE: V-Blocks - f350ca - 11-28-2012 Good score! RE: V-Blocks - Dave J - 11-29-2012 Great score, they would be $150 plus over here. They look to be in as new condition even though they have sat for that amount of years. Dave RE: V-Blocks - Mayhem - 11-29-2012 Worthy of a "you suck" award Jack! Ed RE: V-Blocks - Mayhem - 11-29-2012 RE: V-Blocks - Highpower - 11-29-2012 RE: V-Blocks - TomG - 11-29-2012 Just to add to the gloating, MSC lists the 4"x4"x3" Suburban brand for $300.40. I'd say that was a pretty good score. Tom RE: V-Blocks - Bill Gruby - 11-29-2012 Yesiree -- definately rates a "YOU SUCK" or two. "Billy G" RE: V-Blocks - sasquatch - 12-01-2012 Nice FIND!!! |
