Not sure who made it, but it looks sort of like a GEM. Thanks Tom and Vinny. I'm about 20 miles East and North of you. RE: Latest Delivery - EdK - 04-08-2016 Thanks for the tool porn Rob. Oh, and to the forum. Ed RE: Latest Delivery - Vinny - 04-08-2016 (04-08-2016, 03:53 PM)Rob.Mueller Wrote: Thanks Tom and Vinny. Three of us within 20 miles of each other? Guess I had better get that batch of ale finished up. Tom RE: Latest Delivery - Vinny - 04-08-2016 Absolutely! RE: Latest Delivery - RobWilson - 04-09-2016 Afternoon Chaps A few things turned this week , first off a wee Moore and Wright square . Just about right for working around the mill vice and the like. Next up a rather nice 150mm 6" Starrett combination square , (Starrett being the inventor of such ) Anyway I can't understand why you lads in the USA are so down on Chinese products ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Starrett was made in China And finally some new additions to the library . and a wee bit more light reading Cheers Rob RE: Latest Delivery - awemawson - 04-09-2016 Nice Rob. Is the Machine Tool Reconditioning book the Connelly one ? RE: Latest Delivery - RobWilson - 04-09-2016 (04-09-2016, 07:45 AM)awemawson Wrote: Nice Rob. It is Andrew . Rob RE: Latest Delivery - EdK - 04-09-2016 Nice haul Rob. "The Art of Electronics" is a real good book. I cut my electronic teeth on it. By the way, not all of us are down on Chinese products. I will purchase American or European made used Starrett tools, but never any of their Chinese made offerings. BTW, I have a Lufkin 0-1" micrometer. Satin finish, X/10ths, carbide faces, friction thimble. I bought it used at a Pawn Shop in San Diego in 1974 for $25.00 and it was the first mic I bought. Still have it and it is like new. Always passed certification and I wish I had a full set 0-6" Lufkin mics. |
