I think I'm safe with this batch. BTDT. But are they 1x2x3 Tom, or are they 1ishx2ishx3ish ! RE: Latest Delivery - Highpower - 04-02-2016 (04-01-2016, 07:07 AM)awemawson Wrote: But are they 1x2x3 Tom, or are they 1ishx2ishx3ish ! I keep threatening myself to check mine, but then I think maybe I don't want to know. (Ignorance is bliss they say.) I doubt I'm ever going to spend the money for several sets of precise matched sets of blocks. I don't even have a set of gauge blocks. Like Tom said, you can't even buy the raw stock to make your own for the cost of what those blocks sell for. Assuming you have a surface grinder at your disposal. RE: Latest Delivery - krv3000 - 04-02-2016 I have all ways wonted a set of them but in metric RE: Latest Delivery - EdK - 04-02-2016 (04-02-2016, 05:11 PM)krv3000 Wrote: I have all ways wonted a set of them but in metric They are in metric: 25.4 x 50.8 x 76.2 Ed RE: Latest Delivery - the penguin - 04-02-2016 (04-02-2016, 05:49 PM)EdK Wrote:(04-02-2016, 05:11 PM)krv3000 Wrote: I have all ways wonted a set of them but in metric so the 2 sets I have, one of them can be fractional and the other set can be metric, I'm excited at that thought RE: Latest Delivery - awemawson - 04-03-2016 .... and indeed they can be both Metric and Imperial if the tolerances are a bit loose .... :) RE: Latest Delivery - TomG - 04-03-2016 (04-01-2016, 07:07 AM)awemawson Wrote:(03-31-2016, 06:33 PM)TomG Wrote: Here's mine. Genuine 3M 60 grit belts for $6.27 and four 123 blocks for $5.98 each, shipped. You can't buy the steel for that You peaked my curiosity so I checked them and was pleasantly surprised. They were closer to 1"x2"x3" than I could measure with gauge blocks and a tenth reading indicator. Of course they were Chinese gauge blocks Anyway, they are good enough for my needs and certainly worth the $5.98 I paid for them. Tom RE: Latest Delivery - awemawson - 04-04-2016 Excellent. The Chinese can make good stuff, sadly much gets through that isn't up to snuff. |
