RE: Shapers who else has one? - Tony Wells - 07-30-2012 Ayup....heh I think it could be done with mitre gears, but it would be a bit more involved due to the incline of the mitre. RE: Shapers who else has one? - randyjaco - 07-30-2012 Well, I guess I'd better put mine on. This is a 12" Vernon shaper I got locally. It is about 90 years old and predates the Sheldon Vernon versions which seem to be more prevalent. Documentation on these machines seems to be pretty scarce. I sure haven't been able to find much. It cuts some mighty big blue chips Randy RE: Shapers who else has one? - Tony Wells - 07-30-2012 That's purdy, Randy. I wish mine were that clean. The one machine I am thinking about scraping in is my shaper. I'm getting the DVD from Richard, and considering hosting a scraping class if there is enough interest. RE: Shapers who else has one? - dallen - 07-30-2012 ears perk up, eyes pop open at the mere thought of a Scraping Video RE: Shapers who else has one? - DaveH - 07-31-2012 Randy, That is a very nice shaper you have there DaveH RE: Shapers who else has one? - randyjaco - 07-31-2012 Thanks Dave & Tony Randy RE: Shapers who else has one? - EdK - 07-31-2012 Randy, Nice shaper that looks to be in very good shape.
