I only had a vague idea until your last post. Ed RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - f350ca - 12-12-2012 Thanks, been a long slow progression. Nice to finally see some form and be sure all the parts fit and lined up. Need to mill some slots and mounts for the motor and should have it spinning tomorrow. Can't remember if I mentioned Im using a DC tread mill motor from the dump (local recycle store), RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - stevec - 12-13-2012 (12-12-2012, 05:57 PM)f350ca Wrote: Thanks, been a long slow progression. Ya sure, ya started waaaay back in November. Why are you so slow at things Greg, old age catchin' up with ya? RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - DaveH - 12-13-2012 Greg, DaveH RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - f350ca - 01-03-2013 For the moment its finished and does what it was it was originally intended to do, grind shaper and lathe cutters. At some point I'll probably build mounts to hold end mills and drill bits and such, but for now it does a great and accurate job. RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - Bill Gruby - 01-04-2013 Awesome, that has a lot of potential. "Billy G" RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - DaveH - 01-04-2013 I agree with Billy - Awesome job DaveH RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - EdK - 01-04-2013 I can see that as being very useful. Nice tool! Ed RE: Tool Grinder (maybe) - dallen - 01-10-2013 I'm curious how do you set it up to grind the other side of the bit? |
