Nice job Dallen! Make sure that little baby is legal before posting pics of it. I'm sure the BATF has people on these sights all day long looking to justify their existence.

I think I'd rather eat your mama's biscuits but that's a nice looking handgun for being made of stuff from the scrap box. What caliper is it? Is it for show or do you plan on shooting it?

Tom thanks for the Drawing, will post some pictures in a day or two.

I made this as practice on making small parts, I lack a lot in the in the making of small parts and bits stuff like the hammer and trigger and getting the hammer spring to work (which is made from a sliver that I cut our of a Spring Rake Tine). Anyway I have started an 1885 Winchester Highwall Rifle in 45/70 or I should say I have started the receiver, and there's a lot of little parts in it so I did this sorta as extra homework for making little stuff like the barrel latch, the firing pin, and the safety which isn't in this photo, Yea I know the parts look a little big and clumsy. I did go from three parts on the barrel latch that were silver soldered together to two because I re done the lever so the pad is made on the lever.

I will shot it just to prove that it works then its onto the shelf while I make a knurler or something else. who knows maybe an improved version. oooh yea its caliber is 9 MM cause thats what the barrel stub was.

Tom you have any measurements for the frame on the back side of that knurler

laters find I really just need to know how big a square the pads are that bolt to the frame I'll take it from there no sense is totally re engineering the wheel Big Grin

These are some of the best knurling tools you can get. They don't press form the knurling but cut it into the stock.
Expensive though ...

Thats really nice. I kept a pic of your past picture for reference to make my own & forgot where it came from to begin with.

- do you have drawings?
- can you elaborate on the axles for the knurling wheels
- do you use a socket wrench on that hex part to bear down the knurls on the workpiece?
- Im also interested in how you managed the fit between the arms & plate. Ive heard that that is one of the ingrdients of good knurls - minimal side play or flex.

except for some knurls I plan on using the readily available single rollers ones that have 1/2" shanks on then. I finished it Big Grin

but still need to pick up 4 screws for the adjusters

now its time for 5176
