They look good to me. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 07-03-2022 (06-11-2022, 11:17 PM)Vinny Wrote: On my mini I put a piece of t-slot from LMS, I think it was from the micro mill or something like that. AXA fits on it nicely and I can move it around. And I also removed the compound. Vinny, Did the t-slot you got from LMS fit the dovetail spacing on the cross slide or did you have to modify it? I just got an AXA QCTP yesterday and would like to install it on the mini lathe. Ed RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Vinny - 07-03-2022 Well the lathe is gone now, along with the t-slot (traded for that shear) but here's what I can tell you. I had to drill or mill out a portion of the underside 'cuze the thing the compound turns on for angles isn't easily removable. Then in the top of the cross slide I drilled and tapped 4 holes for 1/4-20 cap screws to hold in sorta the 4 corners. I used the two existing holes on one end of the t-slot but since it was a bit too long I had to cut it off and I drilled and countered two more holes (same spacing as the existing ones) and drilled and tapped the cross slide there too. It was very solid and when I prepared the lathe to sell it, it was easy to pop off the t-slot and put the compound back on. And since the under side of the t-slot had the space milled out, there was no question how to put it back on. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 07-03-2022 So you basically bolted the t-slot table to the existing cross slide, is that correct? Ed RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Vinny - 07-03-2022 Yes, it was just a hunk of t-slot. I'll see if I can find it on the LMS website. That's where I got it. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Vinny - 07-03-2022 I'm pretty sure it was this one: https://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=1664&category= RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 07-04-2022 (07-03-2022, 09:39 PM)Vinny Wrote: I had to drill or mill out a portion of the underside 'cuze the thing the compound turns on for angles isn't easily removable. Do you mean you machined the underside to clear the boss on the rotating disk? Ed [attachment=17945] RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Vinny - 07-04-2022 Yup, that's what I did. As you can see it won't take much cuze it doesn't stick up that far. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 07-04-2022 (07-04-2022, 05:29 PM)Vinny Wrote: Yup, that's what I did.
