RE: help with angle iron's - EdK - 01-16-2015 Dave, Try it on a small sample and see how it turns out. I have one of these that might work well. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-Detail-Sander-DS11008/100006460?N=5yc1vZc29d Ed RE: help with angle iron's - DaveH - 01-16-2015 Hi Dave - nothing wrong with trying to find an easier way, sometimes it can turn out to be a better way. Me - I would try anything I had. First try it out on a bit of scrap and now you are looking at power tools THINK SAFETY you don't want it flying across the room. You also need to think about SELF SAFETY. - hands and face especially. Go for it. See which one suits best. RE: help with angle iron's - DaveH - 01-16-2015 It will heat up quite quickly - keep a gentle light touch. Allow it to cool down every now and then. Unless the sander is completely 100% water proof you cannot use any water - unless you have a death wish DaveH RE: help with angle iron's - EdK - 01-16-2015 Water and power tools don't mix at all. Definitely do not use water. A light touch and keep the sander moving and clear the aluminum dust frequently. Ed RE: help with angle iron's - f350ca - 01-16-2015 Go back to post #6 |
