I predict that there will be so many future posts you guys will get tired of seeing it. I'll start up another thread for it when I have something interesting, or a plea for help, whichever comes first. -Ron RE: Let's See Your Mill - krv3000 - 05-17-2012 HI I ant got one yet but if you google me name this is the type i worked with RE: Let's See Your Mill - DaveH - 05-17-2012 (05-17-2012, 01:20 AM)ScrapMetal Wrote: I predict that there will be so many future posts you guys will get tired of seeing it.Ron, No we won't DaveH RE: Let's See Your Mill - ScrapMetal - 05-17-2012 (05-17-2012, 06:18 AM)DaveH Wrote:(05-17-2012, 01:20 AM)ScrapMetal Wrote: I predict that there will be so many future posts you guys will get tired of seeing it.Ron, Maybe I should print that statement out and have it notarized so it can be used in court. I'll start a thread so you guys can have a little comedy relief. -Ron RE: Let's See Your Mill - DaveH - 05-17-2012 (05-17-2012, 08:49 PM)ScrapMetal Wrote: I'll start a thread so you guys can have a little comedy relief. Great stuff DaveH RE: Let's See Your Mill - b4dyc - 05-21-2012 Here is my little effort Amadeal AMA25LV with MT3 It sits on an old toolbox that i was going to throw on ebay. Took the wheels off and fitted a bit of 1/2 " ply on the base to stiffen it up a little then found some stainless steel commercial kitchen unit legs at the car booty and screwed them on RE: Let's See Your Mill - ETC57 - 05-21-2012 Ok so here is mine, [attachment=1694] As you can see it is also my lathe. I have a question about all the talk of going 3 phase to get variable speed? my smithy runs on 115v 20 amp with 2hp and variable speed DC other than smother running and a little less draw once running why 3 phase? Jerry. RE: Let's See Your Mill - Highpower - 05-22-2012 Jerry, 3-phase motors are plentiful and more common. And they use the same frames that are used by single phase motors - so it's just easier to convert to that, rather than converting over to DC I suppose. Especially if you are running multiple machines as you can power them all from a single rotary phase converter. RE: Let's See Your Mill - EdK - 05-22-2012 I believe DC motors are not as good at the low speeds as a 3-phase motor with a sensorless vector VFD. I'm sure the DC motor experts will correct me if I'm wrong so take it for what it's worth. Ed RE: Let's See Your Mill - marduk - 06-06-2012 Hello everyone this is my milling machine, model delta mondiale, on the longitudinal automatic feed, iso 30 spindle machine really very cool to use and robust for all machining, cordially thierry |
