RE: Power Crossfeed for Asian 9X20s - ozzie46 - 07-25-2013 Looks good Bill, but is there a reason you didn't run it along the backside of the lathe and around the tailstock end and follow the leadscrew up to the motor? Seems to me it would be hidden more. Ron RE: Power Crossfeed for Asian 9X20s - Bill Gruby - 07-25-2013 My DRO and it's mounts and wiring were in the way. There would have been too many things moving in one place. When I paint the lathe it will disappear. DaveH RE: Power Crossfeed for Asian 9X20s - Bill Gruby - 07-26-2013 The Three Stooges had invisible paint. They painted a cannon with it. "Billy G" RE: Power Crossfeed for Asian 9X20s - doubleboost - 07-26-2013 Just read the thread very well done The lathe will look much better painted grey (proper colour for a machine) John RE: Power Crossfeed for Asian 9X20s - tekfab - 07-26-2013 (07-26-2013, 03:12 PM)doubleboost Wrote: Just read the thread very well done Bull***t ! Grey is a colour of boredom ! as in the expresion "a grey day" Who wants to stand in front of a grey machine all day ? if that didn't drive you to drink then i don't know what would ? Paint your machine whatever colour takes your fancy, it is your machine after all and if you come to sell it then the new owner can paint it whatever colour he wants. Bring on the hippy milling machines ! Mike RE: Power Crossfeed for Asian 9X20s - Bill Gruby - 07-26-2013 The mail today arrived with no pulleys again. I can't do the clutch mechanism till they get here. I hard mounted the rest today. Looking good. "Billy G" |
