Bit of an update.
The machine is running well. With 5 hours showing on the meter I've cut and stacked about 8 face cords with relatively little labour other than stacking it.
A load of logs would take me 5 fairly hard days work to handle with the chainsaw and tractor mounted splitter. Can see doing it in 2 with the processor.

I can't believe Quality Control is allowing him to drive it!

Did you change your log infeed ratio?

My wife would ask me how many days total it would take me to do it the "old" way versus the "new" way. Then she would ask how many days and how much money converted to days it took to build the processor. Then she would ask me to amortize that over how many years and give her a figure as to how much time I was actually saving. Then she would tell me to get back to work! German women are slave drivers I can tell you from personal experience.

And from my experience quite attractive.

Yes that has been my experience also!

Sorry Dave my resident camera man was slacking. Here's a couple of stills he took.

bet the neighbors are just jumping with joy that you built the processor, so you got your winters worth of wood cut, looks like you've been busy with it.

Boy! your "resident camera man" is REALLY tall!

You've built yourself one hell of a bartering chip, I'll say.

"Sure, you can borrow the firewood processor. My driveway needs some new gravel, I'd prefer #57 blue stone."
